Didn’t know HARLEY was in reruns, nor about BREVITY before today. Just looked at the last two weeks of the latter – a collection of sad puns that should’ve been buried with Chico Marx. Is THAT what RIP HAYWIRE’s being shortchanged for? Include me out!
Does anyone else think that ever since Dan launched HARLEY, this strip has suffered from a lack of attention? Plotlines come and go too quickly, or come and just vanish. Characters lack consistency. The artwork has lost its edginess. Most of all, the exposition (“recapping”) is annoyingly overdone.
This strip does appear in family newspapers. Anyone else think there’s a quota on how many “punch-out panels” are allowed? The May 31st strip probably wraps up this year!
Are these two actually long-lost half-brothers? They have the same profile: turned up nose, granite chin…and presumably an easy-to-strike back of the head!
Panel 2 is clearly foreshadowing an ominous future. It might not happen in this arc, but it will happen: something very bad – probably fatal – is going to befall the reckless Jonah, and Brad & Toni will become Shannon’s parents.
