In the 30’s I listened to Amos and Andy on the radio. I’ve disbanded my presidential exploratory committee. I’m returning the five dollars I received from my many contributors. Thanks for your support.

Notice that one of the judges and all of the bystanders have their eyes trained aloft. A landing is about to occur

I’m so ‘retro’ I remember when gas powered rotary mowers first appeared. A printer friend made up little tags that said “Guaranteed to throw dog shit as high as second story windows”. He then surreptitiously hung them on the handles of mowers on display at the local hardware.Don’t know if it affected sales or not.

animalheck: I liked your take on the name of the inn. It might have a policy of, “seniors, give it your best shot” or seniors of a certain gender might believe such a place has a magic aura.

This is a good one. Ms. Larson occasionally likes to slyly indulge in a little risque and/or scatalogical humor. Good job!

Yep, get rid of the unions, de-regulate, unleash the corporations, pay chinese level wages and bring production back to the good old US of A . Then we can sell gazillions of dollars worth of useless crap to the rest of the world. Voila! All our fiscal problems solved. Right?

Jim, I was wondering the same thing. Perhaps the new stuff is no longer available to gocomics because of sort of copyright or marketing agreement.

I’ve been to all day conferences and workshops where I used the same styrofoam cup throughout the day.I suspect that at home we all have quirky energy or money saving habits that we wouldn’t share with the general public. There’s a lot of prissy people with weak stomachs out there.

When I was a little kid, in the thirties, straightening nails was often my “job” when I wanted to “help” dad with some job. I don’t know how well they worked after straightening. They were probably made of a better grade of steel and definitely weren’t made in China.

Isn’t that what airlines are currently doing?
