   Oh man, I totally get this. This happens to me all the time. I express something that I desire, in my complete self-interest, and hope that my wife will be accommodating, and I feel kind of guilty about it, and then not only does she not explicitly approve or disapprove, she finds some way to turn it into a shopping opportunity that she can get a kick out of. The next thing I know, “Oh look honey, I found a whole bunch of these [whatever I wanted] on sale!” Reading this strip is the best, I swear.

   No one seems to have mentioned that Peppermint Patty doesn’t live in Charlie Brown’s (and his usual gang’s) neighborhood.

   By the time they’ve gotten around to gags featuring an upside-down bird with fluffy head feathers, the colorist really should be coloring the bird YELLOW.

   (Wanted to add: sometimes Schulz drew dramatic half circles around other characters’ eyes for certain expressions, like concern. But the Van Pelts were the only ones who always had the casual half circles.)

   There’s actually something specifically distinct about Lucy and Linus: they have half-circles around the the outsides of their eyes. They (and Rerun) are the only characters who have this “physical” trait. Take a look at Violet’s eyes, then at Lucy’s; you’ll notice.

   I think the twins are 5’s sisters, 3 and 4.
