A small town in the American Southwest... everything in the desert is designed to prick you, wound you or eat you. What better metaphor for 21st century Earth? Prickly City is a comic strip about the friendship between Winslow, a coyote pup, and Carmen, a straight and narrow kind of kid. Prickly City offers a conservative perspective on political and social events within an ongoing storyline. As Carmen might say, "We may not be correct but we will always be right."
Their high jinks provide endless laughs as Winslow gets into trouble and Carmen follows. Join Carmen and Winslow for their adventures in the desert!

During WWII, the government funded an experimental plan to inject pigeons with an explosive substance. The plan was to release the birds over a Japanese city during the day. At night, the birds would “nest” inside buildings and then explode, setting the buildings on fire. Guess what happened. Some “test” birds got out one day, exploded, and burned down the lab developing the technology.

But it worked.

Irony maybe, metaphorical perhaps. Funny, for me, no. Barely smile inducing.

ugh. I keep accidentally clicking on this comic. I thought removed it. It’s like a Seinfeld comic; all about nothing. It’s not irreverent but irrelevant.

:-D I think you got the wrong story, or the story wrong. They tied incendiary time bombs on bats. Same result, though. They burned down several buildings in White Sands, New Mexico. The SPCA was not a consultant. :-D
