    @NightGaunt49, I know you are still sad that the good Saddam Hussein was unjustly driven out of power despite having received 100% of the vote in February 2003. At least we are keeping the reformer Bashir Assad in power in Syria.

    What this strip points out is that Obama opened himself up to political criticism when he attempted to use the Bergdahl swap for political gain. Appearing on the Rose Garden with the family in a publicized speech was clearly an attempt to distract from the VA scandal. It backfired once that right wing bastion CNN decided to interview some of Bergdahl’s fellow soldiers.

    The teacher’s union chief is a caricature of Karen Lewis, who is the union representative in Chicago, who has had run-ins with that tea party wingnut Rahm Emanuel who had the outrageous right-wing idea that Chicago teachers shouldn’t have the shortest working day in the country. Madness.
