A teacher should never give a kid like Teena that much latitude. They’ll run with it.

Some people don’t like intelligence and some harmless fun.

Fun is what you have after school. And it never, never involves making fun of the teacher. Sorry, but that’s the way it is.

I used to have a physics teacher who was fat as an elephant, but dumb as a dead pig!

Come into the 21st century. Things have changed. In my day, a male teacher wouldn’t have worn a ponytail, much less let his hair grow long enough to have one; and girls only wore dresses or skirts no higher than 2 inches below the knee. The mere suggestion that a teacher was gay or lesbian would have led to their dismissal and their losing their accreditations. College trained child psychologists tell us how we should raise and teach our children now; and any attempt at corporat discipline can land a parent in jail. Things have changed.

And one more waco liberal teacher bits the big one. No wonder kids have not respect if they are not taught it at home
first and enforced in schoo. Respecte is the name of the game not familiarty.

Some teachers have no sense of humor. One wrote the numbers from one to ten on the blackboard, and asked Little Johnnie which ones could be divided evenly by two. Johnnie said, “All of them.” Teacher said how and Johnnie said, "Easy, 1/2,1,2 1/2, 2, etc. Guess who got sent to the principles office for being a smart alec?

Your idea of “the big” one is set quiet low. Nothing has been lost here.

You’re not kidding. I give the kids enough leash to call me “Mr. Mac” and that’s it. A few kids try to push it; I push back and they know the limit. Push past it, they get written up.
