    Obviously he’s not there to teach, only to entertain and babysit.

    These kids are in what, the 5th grade, and they were taught phytobiology in the 3rd? Where do these kids to go school? Do these kids go to different classes during the day like in high school, or do they have the same teacher all day?

    Best suggestion for a prom theme: Don Henley’s “The Last Worthless Evening.”

    Why is everybody going “Aack!” ? “Stairway to Heaven” was the prom theme for the class after mine – they even had mural-like paintings with the lyrics on them, decorating the walls. Judging by the popularity, it must have been a great, grand prom theme, and maybe it still is.

    My own class’ (1973) prom theme was “Color my World.” (Or is it “Colour my World?”)

    High school proms date back to the 1920s-1930s in the US. Stick’s great-grandmother could possibly have gone to one.

    Frank Zappa’s amazing cover of “Stairway” (from the great live album "The Best Band You Never Heard in Your Life), makes Zeppelin sound like The Archies.

    @sjsczurek

    1973. So, chronologically, “Stairway to Heaven” is to today’s generation roughly what Bing Crosby’s “You’re Getting to Be a Habit With Me” (hit song of 1933) was to yours. (OK, “ours.” I’m only four years younger than you.)
