Good: You give your mom one of your old dresses, she wears it.
    Bad: Your brother does too.

    Worse: So does your dad.

    Worst: You are a guy.

Today’s knee length dresses are in many ways no different than the tunic Jesus wore when he walked the earth. Except for how they are cut these days.

By the way, hand me downs were common in my dad’s family. My grandfather never had anything brand new that was his first until he came here to America from Germany. And he picked up a abalone shell on the beach at Vancouver.

Never had to worry in either direction: Four sisters and no kids. I did inherit a closet full of slacks and shirts when a friend died. Ten years later, I’m about 1/3rd of the way through them.

When I was a kid I borrowed my dad’s jackets even though they were too big and the cold air would blow under them. Now I give my dad some of my old shirts even though they are too big for him. But the loose fit is better in the summer heat.
