    Some plastic “disposable” silverware is of a good quality. The ones that snap when bent, no good !
    I like the large flexible ones and keep some in my jackets for anytime readiness. Ya never know when food will break out and no ‘armaments’ are available.

    I’ve never encountered the concept of disposable silverware. It sounds like a rich people’s thing. “Darling, this tableware is sooo last year – I’ll give it to the poor and buy some new.”

    I have no problem there. For dry stuff, pizza, toast just lay a paper towel over it and it can be reused several times.

    Wow, sounds like my late Grandma. She would even wash some paper or plastic plates.

    Quit talking about me, you all. So I’m thrifty. Big deal.

    Other “suggestions” are stop signs and speed limits.

    @pcolli

    The “disposable” stuff is what you get at fast food places and stores that have a cafe section.

    I am a “grammy” to my grandchildren . . . I wonder how many e-mails I’ll receive? (And, yes, I have been known to recycle a disposable fork . . spoon . . knife . . or two!)

    Yes, but why call it silverware when it’s only white plastic?
