Somehow, it reminds me of Johnny Cash’s “One Piece at a Time.”

And if your dad is a plugger he will tell you that back in his day they would just regroove the tread and put tire paint on the sidewalls.

Better visit the junk yard, a new tire would throw the balance off.

Don’t know if this makes me a plugger, but I remember buying $10-$11 recapped tires. Could usually get 1000 miles for each dollar spent.

I figure only size matters, not the brand.

I never rotate my tires. I let the front or rear wear out and put two new tires on the drive axle. that way I only have to buy two tires at a time and alway have good traction in snow

I thought tires rotated when you drove. :-)

The Firestone is the bald one!!! LOL!!

JK, I don’t know which one it is, but I DO know my old man hated Firestone tires with a passion that burned like the fire of a thousand suns. Bridgestones, too.
