Don’t know if this makes me a plugger, but I remember buying $10-$11 recapped tires. Could usually get 1000 miles for each dollar spent.

I worked in tire retreading for nearly 20 years and for most of that time I also sold used tires at a flea market as a side job

Never used one myself, they were illegal and my reputation meant to much to me
