I live in a hipster neighborhood in San Francisco the cafe on the corner from me sells gourmet PB&J sandwich for $12 each.

I used to bring my lunch every day at every job I ever worked. I could not understand people who would go out all the time and then say how much money they saved when they stopped, duh !

Peanut butter, fried egg with yolk broken and ketchup. No jam.

Did you mean corned beef hash, with egg and ketchup?

@rmacprivate
Fried egg and peanut butter sandwich with ketchup. Corned beef doesn’t warrant consideration.

@Jo Clear
Same here Jo, waste of money and lousy for your health.
I worked at one place (for thankfully only a short while) where we were ‘required’ to go out to lunch once a week as a team building exercise. They often ended up spending 3 hours wages sometimes at some of those places they wanted to eat.
Give me a PBJ and a brown bag! I’ll work much harder for the team if I’m not hunting antacids and worrying about the bills I can’t pay this week.

Most jobs I’ve worked, there wasn’t any place to go for lunch that was close enough to fit into the lunch half-hour.

@rmacprivate
Try it but eat it while it’s hot.

They must use a massive amount of straws because there are a lot of suckers there. People with more dollars than sense.
