    Even if chores are shared what’s the harm in being polite about it? Hate to be that other woman’s husband…if she has one.

    That’s a nice boy, Earl. Sit up and beg.

    I agree the husband should be expected to help around the house, but there is also something called reality and Opal knows that Earl needs that bit of extra motivation. Wonder if it’s M&M’s or peanuts? Maybe peanut M&M’s?

    Earl doesn’t know it but Opal’s feeding him
    dog treats.

    Small pieces of fudge. I would help my wife and she, me, but we always thanked the other. Politeness and formal manners are even more important between husband and wife than they are between strangers.

    Guests always need to respect the affairs of other households and couples unless asked — that or leave…

    Funny how the stereotype is the man who doesn’t do much around the house. I’ve met more women that did little or nothing.

    An oddity of the English language – if you’re carrying a gun, you’re said to be “packing a gun.” If you’re carrying fudge, are you “packing fudge”?

    I thank and compliment my wife on the things she does around the home. I appreciate the work it takes her to keep things up, provide meals… I don’t expect any thanks for keeping up things like the lawn and doing maintenance, but doesn’t hurt to compliment each other.

    If Hilary Rosen doesn’t think being a homemaker is a real job, it’s because she never did it.

    @AshburnStadium

    And if you’re carrying drugs, you’re “holding”. Chocolate fudge is my drug of choice, so that would be “holding fudge,” I guess. :)

    My guess would be no, she doesn’t.
