Bless her heart. At least she’s being honest.

I mentioned on “For Better or For Worse” Sunday 22 April 2012 that my maternal grandfather died in 2007 a few weeks after his 96th birthday whereas Grandma died a few months after that the following year (she was shy her 91st birthday).

That happen to my mom’s parents, only 4 months apart back in late 1996 early 1997. They were married over 60 years. One funny thing about them both—I never heard one call the other by first name. He called her “boss”, and she whistled at him.

Yeah, people in their 80s and 90s dying within a close time frame, what are the odds?

With regard to Devils Avocate, a few things need to be said.

First, he’s an internet troll. Typically these should be ignored, as what they want more than anything else is attention, and even mentioning them is feeding their miniscule egos. That said, this one is so abominably offensive that I decided to make an exception to my usual policy.

I’m assuming this catastrophic waste of cellular material is a “he”, although “it” would be a better choice. He is most likely not yet out of high school, or if not, working some dead-end job scrubbing out toilets.

His very name transmits both his repugnant nature and his ignorance. It should be “Devil’s Advocate,” with an apostrophe and correctly spelled. We then see “boo who”, “sorry for your lost” and “shes a Mormon”.

Either this festering pile of badger ejecta is still sweating away in 10th-grade bonehead English – for the fourth time – or dropped out to pursue a career in burger-flipping.

What a miserable, wretched existence this clotpole must lead – his only source of entertainment is to sit at his computer screen, wrapped safely in supposed anonymity, and make insulting comments. He thinks he’s clever, but he’s a loser. He loses by merely existing.

Pay no attention to the cretin behind the curtain.

    PS – *@ИOMЯOM *: I’m sorry for your loss.

Yes, I remember your post and DA’s similarly rude reaction. Please ignore him as it is clear that he has no heart and therefore would not understand others dying of a broken heart. I’m sorry for your loss, and thank you for sharing.
I have a friend whose father died this past year on Christmas eve. As she and her mother were visiting his gravesite a few days later, her mother turned blue and fell over. They tried to save her, but she died on New Year’s eve. As painful as it was for my friend, she realized that they just needed to be together.

Opal is worried that Earl will have fun without her. Did he ever have any fun with her in the last 10 to 15 years?
