    Wow! A carnivore with a gun! What a concept. :) If she didn’t have more food I suppose he could have stepped out back and shot a squirrel…..or an old lady…..or something.

    Three mice ran up the clock;

    Dolly should realize that if you’re going to resort to violence,
    go for something better than canned dog food.

    Son Boy “Oh, Father. Picking on defenseless old ladies.”

    Sylvester “Aw, Son. She’s about as defenseless as a porcupine in a nudist colony.”

    I’ve got some cute variations of Mother Goose but this is a family page. :) Also, good for a few laughs, is the Polically Correct fairie tales book. Check it out. With all time favorites like Snow White and the Seven Vertically Challanged People.

    Collie Dolly is my new hero! When the old lady was holding out on her, she stood up for her rights, and won! —Even if what she won was just canned dog food….

    This reminds me of the 1942 Warner Brothers cartoon “Foney Fables”, in which the dog opens a cabinet next to the empty one, finds it full of food, and reports Mother Hubbard as a food hoarder (a stigma during WWII food rationing).

    The Washington Post published a different strip today. Too violent, maybe?
