    That’s not a turkey. It’s just dead skin cells that decided to get together for the party.

    The other 10% are parts of dead insects (and this looks quite impressive when magnified).

    Not all dead, no sir. There’s our lil buddy, the dust mite.

    Which may have you wondering:

    Turkey, anyone?

    One of the nice things about the desert is the low humidity. Dust mites don’t live below ~50%. When it’s single digits or 20% it’s pretty tough for anything like that to exist.
    .
    The downside is that we get a lot of fires.

    Don’t know about 95%, but it depends entirely on location. For example, here there is a lot of dust in the air because of the low humidity and construction. Agricultural areas tend to have a lot of dust.
    .
    Nowadays, I’d never accept statistics from my former employer, NOAA, because they started cooking the numbers in the last five years. The professionalism is gone.

    Oh no! That’s not LGD sitting on the table, is it? Stewed in his own juices?

    I learned that I should never trust facts “quoted” in comic strips. OK, I knew that years ago.

    @Gaijinrabbit

    Thank you for ruining my breakfast. UGH!!! I am one of those germaphobes who doesn’t touch doorknobs & I wash my hands with regular soap for the full 30 seconds. So yaha that picture is a nightmare to me. I know they are there, but I don’t wanna see um.
