At its heart, Pearls Before Swine is the comic strip tale of two friends: an arrogant Rat who thinks he knows it all and a slow-witted Pig who doesn't know any better. Together, this pair offers caustic commentary on humanity's quest for the unattainable. Dilbert cartoonist Scott Adams says that Pearls is "one of the few comics that make me laugh out loud." The strip has twice won the National Cartoonists Society's Reuben division award for Best Newspaper Comic Strip – in 2003 and in 2006.

Not very factual, Rat is obviiously from the far right wing.

Thanks. I though I’d made a mistake on a number. (Took it down, then put it back up.)
re: doublepaw.
I don’t know Rats politics. Any type of Socialism is defined as left, differing only in such things as levels of economic control. A good way to gage it is to tick off how many points of the Ten Planks of the Communist Manifesto by Marx to determine the relative oppressiveness/“farness” of the government type. the Planks have 1 to 3 portions, so the Plank values are scored accordingly.
Parliamentary Socialism such as Canada or the EU is fairly moderate at 5 Planks.
National Socialism is far worse at 7 and 1/6.
The Republican party scores at 1 and 1/3
The Soviets scored at 8 and 5/6.
The modern Democrats score at 8.
Score them yourself by what a group did or does. The Ten Planks of Marx’s Communist Manifesto:
1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3. Abolition of all right of inheritance.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6. Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
8. Equal liability of all to labor. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distribution of the population over the country.
10. Free education for all children in public schools.

Wow. Just, wow. You might want to check the motives of whoever’s been feeding you information about the Democrats. Or Canada. Or the EU. Or what any of those points acutally mean.
