Sure glad we had somebody to lead us right over the shoals in Afghanistan and Iraq!

Well, if McGrumpy and Klondike Barbie had won in 2008, there would already be 15,000 + troops in Syria, so count yourselves lucky that they didn’t win!

Oliphant, what was your comic when Reagan sent 250+ Marines to their deaths in Beirut?

It’s in the archives…you can find it by using the calender. Upper right corner.

Obama hasn’t sent 250+ CIA agents to their deaths in Syria.

    Yet.

The UK, France, and the US know that we have to get rid of al Assad. He’s strongly supported by Syrian Druse, Christians, and moderate Sunnis, but our BFF the Saudis say we need to put Sunni Islamists in, and we MUST support them.

After all, we strongly supported the Taliban in Afghanistan in the ’80s, and that worked out really well.

Obama hasn’t sent 250+ CIA agents to their deaths in Syria.

My point exactly. I think Obama is doing a superior job of navigating in Syria. Reagan would have botched it completely.

And speaking of botched missions, why is Carter always remembered for the failed Iran hostage rescue but NOBODY in the media mentions Gerald Ford’s botched Mayaguez rescue which cost the lives of 41 US servicemen.

??? This is apropos of nothing. And who asked anyone to stop? GOP wingnut commentaries are funny and weirdly ignorant. So keep ’em coming!

Consider it as homeopathic political policy. Unless the medicine you give is absolutely proven to work, sometimes it’s better to administer a very very weak dose rather than something else impressive that will probably kill the patient. i.e., the remedy is worse than the disease.

Does this generation need another war? Hate to say it, but we should rest up a while for the big one we’ll eventually have with China.

Referring to the cartoon above, what if President Obama’s true calling was to take the USA as we’ve all known it onto the rocks?

By NOT getting us involved in yet another unwinnable foreign war? Weird way to ruin a country.

Both Democrats and Republicans come in many flavors (extremist, conservative, moderate, liberal) and this depends on the issue…so what is your point ??????

Onguard, you conveniently forget that Bush II was the CIC (Commander in Chief)…
However, I am against playing the childish “blame game”.
We need better lawmakers, election and campaign reform, safeguards….
    Will these ever happen ?

It was not widely and intensely reported?
    Therefore not remembered?
With Carter, anything that discredited him, was reported in the media. You would have thought bro. Billy was Sec. of State.
