Yeah, well … There was an the old “National Lampoon “ ad parody that said, “If Ted Kennedy had been driving a Volkswagen, he’d be president right now.” Hint: VWs were said to float if driven into the water..Sorry. It disgusted me then and it still disgusts me. But it was a shocking and valuable lesson in the vagaries and vicissitudes of fate.
