Obama hasn’t sent 250+ CIA agents to their deaths in Syria.
My point exactly. I think Obama is doing a superior job of navigating in Syria. Reagan would have botched it completely.
And speaking of botched missions, why is Carter always remembered for the failed Iran hostage rescue but NOBODY in the media mentions Gerald Ford’s botched Mayaguez rescue which cost the lives of 41 US servicemen.
Consider it as homeopathic political policy. Unless the medicine you give is absolutely proven to work, sometimes it’s better to administer a very very weak dose rather than something else impressive that will probably kill the patient. i.e., the remedy is worse than the disease..Does this generation need another war? Hate to say it, but we should rest up a while for the big one we’ll eventually have with China.
No more than a month ago Oliphant had not so much as whispered a sour word about O, or for the most part about O’s minions. However this should still not be that much of a surprise. If you all haven’t figured it out, Oliphant is really, really, really, opposed to this country’s travelling abroad “in search of dragons to destroy”. That opposition applies to Democratic presidents as well as Republican ones.
“Never engage in a land war in Asia.” We have done nothing but in recent years. In the old days, we were content to wage war on Central and South America, imposing dictatorships on orders of the United Fruit Company. Now we are doing what military historians have long warned about. Remember, the last warlord to successfully conquer an Asian nation was the Mongoil, Timujin – and his grandson is known to history as the Chinese emperor, Kublai Khan. Even if you succeed militarily, you will be absorbed culturally.
The “proof” in in Colin Powell’s speech to the nation, complete with diagrams. AND in the "uranium from Niger which cost US a CIA agent and program. Thank you very much, Georgie Boy!

“Sure glad we had somebody to lead us right over the shoals in Afghanistan and Iraq!”#Ok, what do you suppose Romney would have done if he had been elected President? In my opinion, we ( the U.S.) would probably have “boots on the ground” in Libya, N. Korea, Syria, Iran (after dropping a couple of nukes). Think I’m wrong, go ahead an elect a Conservative next time and see for yourself. Jobs and the Economy? Those would have gone by the board as Romney would have not only extended the Bush tax cuts but raised taxes, via elimation of tax deductions.

They may all be democrats, but you can’t convince anyone that Fritz Hollings, Zell Miller, Mary Landrieu, Ben Nelson, or Joe Lieberman are liberals.
There IS such a thing as a conservative Democrat. There is NOT such a thing as a liberal Republican. Not these days; at least not in Congress.
