Also H. E. “Eddie” Childs late owner of the now defunct Western Corporation Oil Field Services. Use to compete with Halliburton.

Millie sounds like she has a career in politics. 95% of it is self riteous indination whether from the left or the right.

I thought self righteous was when you thought you were better than everyone else. “a solemn, unsmiling, sanctimonious old iceberg that looked like he was waiting for a vacancy in the Trinity” (Mark Twain). I thought she was practicing to be a mom.

What does panel one have to do with “self-righteous”? We usually think of self-righteous as the person who has a severe lack of morality in one or more areas of their life, but constantly complains of the perceived failings of others, whether they exist or not. Senator Feinstein is an example of that set of characteristics.
    .
The first panel would seem to be more more like a person finally getting furious when they’ve been hit with a heavy injustice over a long period of time.

Self righteous, meaning so full of themselves as being right. Infallible in fact in whatever area they lay claim to. Millie tried it out and found it to be marvelous. But Millie isn’t like that. She has standards.
