    Yes, it is.

    A thing that is borrowed, esp. a sum of money that is expected to be paid back with interest.

    Borrow (a sum of money or item of property): “the word processor was loaned to us by the theater”.

    noun. advance – accommodation – borrowing – debt – loaning
    verb. lend – borrow

    What is lent, or borrowed, is ‘on loan’. Loan itself is not a verb, unless things have changed in the last eighty years!
