And, remember, if we had lost the War of 1812, which we did, technically, all things considered….We’d all be speaking English now….

Umm . . . you DID lose the War of 1812, and far more than just technically, that’s why Canada is an independent country. I guess you didn’t notice that your invasion failed. Perhaps the smoke form the burning of Washington obscured that fact.

Meanwhile the current US guvmint is trying to enforce extraterritoriality, something which American propaganda claims to be the salient cause of the War of 1812 when it was exerted by the Brits to capture deserters. Those so-called reasons are nothing but a bunch eyewash by the way, the reasons for the war were Madison wanted to expand the American empire westward and northward and he wanted to support the French emperor . . . genocide and tyranny, both very noble causes I’m sure.

    I’m just saying.

Maybe I don’t know enough about modern Canadians, but they were kind to Americans during 9/11 and have been generally polite. I believe there is a much higher opinion of Canadians then another neighbor who has desecrated our flag and flown their’s, and recently seen in military outfits and carrying weapons on American property. At the moment Canada is in good standing with me.

Bag is on the benches borderline. If it was China, it would
be grabbing a additional foot beyond the line and claiming it
was always theirs. Drawing a line down the center of a seat or bench is a time honored way to separate warring

So it looks like you chose up sides with the expansionist imperialist you liked best, huh? Not the bad ol’ Yanks. Now, help us all to understand why the fledgling US was supposed to just sit around and wait for the Brits to stop impressing American merchant sailors and inciting Indian tribes in US territory? Oh, I forgot the Canadian commandment: Thou shalt not protect thine on interests, but should instead just wait fore the Queen to ride to the rescue.
    Just sayin’, too.
