    It stinks for Sweetheart Bakeries, because they just shut down.

    I’ll volunteer myself as a research subject to determine the health benefits of “bahbon”

    Dogsniff, what’s wrong with you? Normally you would the first to point out that when it comes to bourbon, it’s religion… personally I worship Canadian whiskey….

    “Yeah, there’s several articles on the health benefits of bourbon, but they’re all hard to read…”

    Actually it doesn’t work like that, Eddie. Something can be good or even essential for your health if consumed at low to moderate levels, but bad or even lethal at extremely high levels. Even water can kill you if you drink too much in a short period of time.

    As far as I’m concerned, the only difference between “bahbon” and turpentine is that turpentine is better at thinning paint. The smell and the taste are about the same. Give me a good Irish Uisge Baugh or fine Brandy instead.

    Of course anything can be harmful if taken to extremes. Even water can be poisonous.

    Dark chocolate is best, for medicinal purposes only, of course.

    Dark chocolate only since the lactase destroys the benefit you may get so no milk chocolate. And not very much either. Four squares a day only. Not all at once either.

    48% more cavities, and you couldn’t care less.

    @runar

    All whiskeys are nasty. Irish particularly.
    .
    Give me a nice porter or stout.
    .
    (And not Guinness. Philip Jackson wasn’t far off in “Sequential Art” when he called that stuff “toxic sludge”.)

    That only because we don’t drink Guiness fresh, hand-pulled, and at cellar temp like they do in Ireland.
