His insurance doesn’t cover it? Patch him and turf him to the street.

Right to free speech, right to arm bears, right of religious expression but no right to medical care? You can shoot your mouth off, shoot your foot off or shoot someone whose imaginary friend is different to yours but to be cared for when at your lowest ain’t our problem. Bizarre.

I have to laugh every time I think about the American health care system, it’s all about making money off the sick and injured…..hurray capitalism.

    Health insurance is not healthcare.

I second that - Lets work on health care - not mandating health insurance! They are not the same!

Yep - I’m now officially on the “Work Til You Die” plan. I can’t afford the health insurance if I retire.

Health Insurance is the enemy of health care. A doctor told me yesterday that of all the money spent on health care, about 1% goest to doctors (not that they’re suffering), and about 45% to insurance profit. Nice work if your morals will allow…

I wish we could go back to the what it used to be like in the 40’s thru the 70’s where doctor’s could make house calls and the price was easyer on all of us and the doctors and nurses really cared before the medical insureance and the government got involved in it, but with todays tech.

If this was gov’t health care Uncle Sam would be holding the menu. That’s scary.

I would rather have an impartial bureaucrat deciding what is cost-effective than a health insurance executive whose salary and bonus depend on his minimizing expenditures while maximizing profit.

    It’s one or the other.

You have to shop for which company offers what you need. I never saw much use for prenatal and healthy baby care. Show me a plan with mental health and substance abuse. . I’m going to shop with more care than I would a car. I don’t want undercoating and a don’t want a rider for Sickle Cell Anemia. Custom wheel covers are not needed much like nutritional counseling. I would drive a few miles to save on a car, and I’ll drive a few miles to a preferred provider. Buy the first policy you see and don’t read it. That’s how you buy a car, right?

I’ve been in the hospital with a vent still in my throat told by the insurance company I was well enough to go home. After freaking out , some tears and some phone calls by a social worker they got me another week.
