That’s the way it is… my wife and I refer to our DVD collection as our ’Network"…

I don’t have cable, but my channel line-up includes “cozi” “metv” and “antennatv”. Lots of old shows to choose from and those shows were the best!

It should be scaring the hollywood execs. This is the THIRD year running that 9 of 10 movies lost money and the aftermarket DVD/BR sales are very poor. What’s selling? Old movies and old TV shows.

Yes- did you know that gory, slasher, horror movies typically don’t turn a profit like warm & fuzzy movies do?

Yep – all that nice flat screen, HD technology… just to watch the Kardashians and Honey Boo Boo.

Watched Murphy Brown and Night Court on cable recently. The lessons learned from Murphy Brown still rings true about our politicians. NOTHING has changed with them, only we lost our watch dogs that exposed their crimes. Even Saturday Night Live would spoof them. Now we are all friends that don’t snitch on them? God Save America!

I just got a Roku a few weeks ago and it’s great to watch some of my old favorite classics like Cheers and Night Court.

I’m so glad we had this time together
Just to have a laugh or sing a song
    Seems we just get started
    And before you know it
Comes the time we have to say, ‘So long’
    (tugs left ear)

We’re not all friends. Many actually support these crooks that are robbing us blind.

The only movie we’ve seen this year is Frozen, and zero TV. Our dogs are all the reality entertainment we need.

I used to watch a lot of network TV shows, but I looked at a list of the most popular shows of 2011-12 in my World Almanac and the only one I’d watched more than once (if at all) was “Two and a Half Men.” How is it we’ve gone from five or six channels to hundreds to choose from but there’s less TV worth watching now? I mean, the “Brady Bunch” may as well be “Masterpiece Theatre” compared to what’s on these days.

Those old shows are the best. The only thing I watch on T.V. is the news while working out at the gym, and the news is usually bad enough.
