But there's one (fictional) love that's lasted and shows no sign of stopping: Nancy and Sluggo. Sluggo first appeared in the strip in January 1938 and, after extensive mathematical calculations, our research team concludes that's 80 years of a solid relationship forged by shared interests: ice cream, avoiding homework, hijinks, and specifically hijinks involving stealing snacks.
