    - Gay, dyslexic, all apparently the same to Mr. Lester.

Hmm…no mention of the transguy basketball player from Georgetown? An FTM playing on a D-I major college team was huge in the trans community (he hadn’t started taking testosterone so he could stay on the women’s team, but still huge).

Just a matter of time until those who watch sports for the game walk away due to political correctness forced upon the game by the socialist kooks. Look at the NFL. More people watch high school and college football than the NFL games. Same for baseball. More people are watching the minor league games. Some major league stadiums would be happy if they could be half full. Meanwhile at the minors, the games are sold out and people bring lawn chairs. Basketball and hockey are next. Socialists can’t figure out why NASCAR is popular. Now you know why. If you want to be gay or lesbian, fine. But don’t force your lifestyle on the rest of us. Sorry. I forgot. Political correctness requires you do just that. And don’t you straight while normal males criticize anybody who is gay or lesbian. Especially if you are conservative. If you are kook socialist, well, you get a slap on the wrist and don’t do it again or big government will take away your recipient class benefits, paid for by and stolen from the provider class. Proving once again that political correctness is a one way street.

Great cartoon! Lester is pointing out that these “admissions” just aren’t interesting anymore and certainly aren’t germane to the sport. “Who cares (about sexual preference)?” should be the ultimate statement of acceptance for those who want such acceptance.

Thank you! We don’t give a ____________ who Jason or anyone else is sleeping with. Get over yourself and play basketball or what ever else it is that you do for a living.

If you make up your own facts, you can prove anything. Please take the time to find out what “socialism” truly means, for one thing.

Next, look at the upcoming NFL crowds: even for exhibition games, most stadiums are full. NFL is popular in Europe and Japan; that’s why games are played there. And I am sure you will not find any owner who wants his/her stadium to be half full.

I am not a socialist. I have been building car engines since I was a teenager. I love mechanical things. I still do not understand the appeal of NASCAR. But I have no reason to be opposed to it, either.

Please tell me how a gay person “forced his lifestyle” on you. Growing up in a Jewish family, I found many more people trying to force Jesus on me than those trying to force homosexuality on me. As a matter of fact, I can’t remember anyone trying to force homosexuality on me.

And as for the idea of “recipient class benefits”, I am assuming you are referring to welfare cheats and not the person who gets a $77K tax write-off for dance lessons for his horse or an oil company receiving subisidies or a defense contractor who pays no tax on billions in provable income. I know what’s coming next: “They’re just taking advantage of what the law allows.”

So are welfare cheats. So, the right answer? CHANGE THE LAWS. I’ll hold my breath.

I agree that a person’s sexual orientation has nothing to do with playing a game. It is interesting to note, however, that some of the same posters who claim they don’t care, either, get their knickers in a knot when it comes to allowing gay people to get married or alleging that they “force their agenda” on the rest of us.

I am reminded of the story my friend tells of the time he lived in Utah. A gay couple opened a flower shop across the street from a firehouse. One day the store caught fire. Not one firefighter lifted a finger to help; they all watched the store burn down. My friend moved soon after. I wonder how many of those firemen are now saying, “What does it matter, as long as he can play the game?”
