When Bush, sr had only 52 votes to go to war with Iraq, he got Senate approval. No filibuster.

When Bush, jr wanted votes to go to war against terror anywhere in the world, with permission to kill anyone for any reason or for no reason, only one Democrat didn’t vote ‘Yes!.’

Getting rid of a filibuster Republicans use all the time but Democrats never use seems like a reasonable strategy for the Democrats.

Of course, when the Yankees wanted to take the filibuster away from Southern Democrats in the ‘60s, the motion was killed. By a filibuster.

The Democrats, with just 52 votes, took away the filibuster from confirmation hearings only. But that means the Republicans can take away the filibuster from laws with just 51 votes. But Democrats seldom filibuster, so they’re not giving up much to get all Obama’s nominees confirmed.

Voting instead of show boating. I say we give it a try.
