    I guess that’s why O was “chilling” in Beverly Hills Tuesday with his billionaire buddies.
    What happened to his promise of a “Laser-like focus on jobs” during his second term?
    I guess he misspoke there too…….

    @ConserveGov

    If that were the case, would he then be any different than the tea party types that were elected in 2010 on the same promise?

    @Robert Landers

    And president Obama’s political pols are indeed way down, but are still 3 to 4 times as high as the tea party types of Congress! So, he must be doing something relatively right, but I do not expect you or your ultra conservative buddies here ot ever admit that under any circumstances. But, I have come to expect that anyway!

    At any rate as a soft hearted relatively moderate liberal, I say to you: Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!!

    The real numbers are 45% approval for Obama, not that low. They were 69% in January ‘09, and 52% during the shutdown. And that’s Rasmussen.

    (Of course, one of our better enlightened right-wingnuts pointed out to us all that Rasmussen is a left-wing Obamabot poll, so the real numbers are, and always have been, 0%, since no REAL American would ever approve of Obama.)

    Businesses make jobs not government, if the government would just get out of the way.

    I agree with Mr Wuerker, disirregardless of party. I have yet to find an honest party that can win any positions in our Representative Plutocracy.

    Complaints about the president not creating enough jobs? The only way the president can do that directly would be by expanding the government, and the conservatives wouldn’t like that. Further, private sector jobs tend to build the economy better, generally.
    The “Job Creators” could create jobs for Americans, by investing in America, building factories across America, giving Americans jobs, but they don’t. Why?

    I will support removing most of the anti-pollution, safety, and noise laws in one state on the condition that all of the “conservatives” calling for such action move to that state to live next door to and work in those factories.

    The government should stop subsidizing business’s that don’t create jobs.

    I looked up an old article from the BBC
    Per capita (is that per voter though?), the USA spends about 23 times more than the UK. We’re just much cheaper to buy. ;-)

    Hmm: Raise the House term to four years, and make it illegal to raise campaign funds more than one year before elections for House or Senate. Give them some time to work instead of fundraising. Second: restore the “fairness doctrine” where all get equal access to the public airwaves (where most funding actually goes), and of course limit contributions by individuals: even “corporate” “persons”.
