Hey Matt, the Democrats throw money at the “poor” (their voter base). Conservatives want to put them to work.

Conservatives want to put them to work
    .
…in sweatshops and menial labor. Work them until their health deteriorates and their skills become obsolete, then toss them on the street so they can die quickly without burdening the rich. The Koch Bros. mantra is “You make more than the average Somali, so shut up.”

How do you propose to “put them to work”?

Compassionate Conservatism is long dead thanks to the Tea Party, Rove, the Koch brothers, and the “in their pocket” Supreme Court.

The house zeroed out Food Stamps, while boosting money for the fraud-ridden agricultural subsidies program, which a number of wealthy GOP members of congress have their hands in. Apparently, needing food because you can’t find a job (or are a child, or can’t work) is evil and needs to be punished; but it’s okay to use any amount to pay the rich for not growing corn. It’s disgusting, and completely shows the lie to their supposed concern about deficits and fairness and not rewarding slackers. It’s all about rewarding themselves and their rich donors.

You got that right. They haven’t got us reduced to that of the Somalis, but hey, everybody gotta have goals.

“Conservatives want to put them to work.”

… including the kids. Who needs those stupid child labor laws? I’m sure putting more kids to work at $4.25 an hour will put people back to work.

When my side does it, they have excellent reasons. When the other side does it, then it is because they are bad people who cannot think clearly because of their [pick any two] (greed) (hatred) (outdated ideology).

    Don’t listen to their lies
The poor ain’t got a chance unless they organize

Compassion must be the biggest thing on the front label. What is actually in the product is meaningless. People buy based on poor judgment and product placement. Put it right in their face and tell them how good it is. Once they shell out for it, they will be too embarrassed to admit they have been had. They will defend their poor choices because their pride is all they have left, and little enough of that.

The war on poverty has done nothing more than produce more poverty.
