    This comic is a good example of the result when a political rant passes reality and continues to accelerate.

    Bullseye! Trayvon needed a better initial police investigation! Not an investigation stagnated by apathy, and the stand your ground law. The stand-you-ground, NRA sponsored travesty, is just masquerading as justice!

    Too many commenters seem to think that labels stand for intelligent thought.

    I thought Davies was more intelligent than this idiotic cartoon.
    Facts: 23 states have self-defense laws similar to Florida’s “stand your ground”….(which was not ever mentioned in the Zimmerman trial by either prosecution or defense) More states are considering adopting laws like Florida’s.
    -
    Because of Obama’s TV sympathy for Trayvon in early 2012, and Obama’s AG sending taxpayer funded agitators to Florida to pressure every official, a Caucasian Police Chief who upheld his oath of office to refuse to indict a self-defense neighborhood watch homeowner, he was replaced with an African-American Police Chief and a Republican governor was PC’d into naming a “special prosecutor” who would indict a jaywalker if it fit the “political agenda”….thereby putting a legal shooter’s life in limbo for 17 months while the MSM ripped his “profile” to shreds by lies and defamation. I hope a court makes NBC-TV pay for the smear propaganda false version of Z’s initial 9/11 call.

    Trayvon was nearly home. He could have run and called the Po-Po, but that would be snitching, so he stood his ground and defended his late-night skulking in a crime-ridden neighborhood in which we are erroneously told he was just casually strolling home with his skittles, iced tea and perfectly innocent burglary tools. He was only defending himself against a creepy cracker who needed to get some whup-a55. The cartoon accurately depicts the social situation, in which the inertial momentum of previous actions is still present and requires the use of maneuvering jets to cancel. It’s not rocket science, except when it is. In that case, a 3.0 GPA in modern public schools isn’t going to be of much use. Unless you attended a private school before Obama got serious about stopping school vouchers, you probably won’t get it. You aren’t meant to. Just breathe the air we have blown you. (Obscure WHO reference.)

    the way the trial ended, and the gutting of the voting rights act have taken civil rights back to the 50’s and early60’s.

    The ‘toon was a laugh. When I was a kid my folks had a restaurant. One night a bunch of bikers said they were going to take the place apart. My mom, from the kitchen about 20 feet away, put a meat cleaver (one of two) into the door frame next to the lead biker’s head. Mom calmly stated, “I didn’t miss, and I won’t with this one either”, as she held up the second one. The bikers left the restaurant, tails tucked, so to speak.

    You don’t always need a gun to intimidate, or control the situation!

    @Wabbit

    No way! Back in the good old days, some of our illustrious upper protected class members, like Robert Byrd, would have rolled up in costume and organized a lynching for the person who had offended a member of that protected class. This is ENTIRELY DIFFERENT!
    I got through it with a straight typeface, but broke down into gales of hysterical capitalization at the end, there.
