As editorial cartoonist for The Journal News in New York, Davies cuts to the chase on every major issue, deftly penetrating the spin and obfuscation to show readers what’s really at the heart. His caustic wit combines with a strong moral sensibility to render the complex comprehensible.

Still waiting for Obama to create ‘Shovel Ready’ Jobs, it’s been over 3 years, and Obama has yet to create one ‘Shovel Ready’ Job

The idea was never for the feds to create the projects – the idea was to fund the projects the states had that needed doing. We’ve still got a lot of bridges that need fixing, but we found block grants to the states (the Republican preferred approach for everything) don’t necessarily go where they should.

Apparently, Michelle has seen Barack, shovel in hand, preparing to shovel snow.
Maybe, Barack doesn’t think we know the difference between a “Shovel Ready Job” and a “Snow Job”.

Oh dear Tigger. The shovel ready jobs were shovel ready then, just waiting for funding. YOUR republicans said NO, NO, NO, NO at every step. Those shovel ready jobs evaporated under the republican nay saying.
-—-Aren’t you proud of the way the republicans and tea party can block progress and jobs for Americans?

There is work to be done — the problem isn’t the lack of work, the problem is the lack of jobs — that is, employers need to be willing to spend money to hire people to do the work. When private sector employers are sitting on their rear ends, then it’s appropriate for the government to step in temporarily to get things going.

A transportation bill would help, but the Republicans can’t do it. They weren’t elected to govern, they were elected to break everything. Now that our credit rating is down, our bridges can’t be fixed, and Americans are out of work, how about an actual PLAN for a change, not just breaking things? Tax cuts for the rich are the only idea they’ve got, and they’ve been in place for twelve years with no noticeable results other than the deficit.

When I look at Mitt I see an empty suit. I see vast amounts of money from a few billionaires to get him elected. He has no more empathy for the middle class than an elephant has for an ant he just stepped on. Who will call the shots if he gets elected? It will be the billionaires who want those tax cuts. His plan calls for cutting an average of $350,000 on the rich while raising middle income tax $4500. Some plan!

This will end with the first debate. President Obama will either nail that pudding to the wall or make it ooze down the drain. Can’t wait. Remember when he went into the lions den, the GOP headquarters, and tried to start an open conversation about the future of the country? No teleprompter, just him, on his feet and awake. He was so naive back then, but he dished out some remarkable stuff that really shut the GOP down for a while (back then they still cared about what the American people thought of them)…

Apparently you have a seeing problem. Mitt Romney is a self made man from the private sector, Obama has never had a job outside of the private sector, he’s never had to make payroll, and he has never done anything without government assistance. I suggest you read Romney’s plan instead of parroting (is that your secret ability, a repetitive empty answer) Romney’s detractors. Solyndra called the shots with Obama, making Obama change the policy of the government to pay off the fatcats before the tax payers….. do you really think thats a good idea?

Read the latest on Mitt in the Washington Post about outsourcing American jobs. Try seeing that!

Romney railed against outsourcing American jobs, but he’s one of the greatest offenders! That’s how he self made millions,by sinking American jobs!

A ‘self made man from the private sector’???
He made his first million from the tooth fairy.
