    He did say that he was going to change it, but Snowden exposed it before he could? Okay??? Yeah, I feel better now?

    If a politician does not have a bad attitude about rights of the citizens he does not get party support.
    .
    Without party support he is no longer a player.
    .
    Who is surprised by the actions of elected officials?
    Given the choice of anonymous or famous what are they going to choose?
    .
    Republicrat or demopublican does not matter, it is a personal failing of those addicted to having their own way.

    And when patriotic Americans try to start up a new political party of their choosing. They become targets of the liberal media , all the lie’s that media can spread, the current administration and even the IRS. What do we have to do to get our country back…… click click – boom! I hope not ,I pray not but what choice are we being left with?

    If a man abandons the tao, he does not put right action before all other concerns. Who can be surprised that he is not a good leader?

    Um, yeah. Seems to me a whole lotta congress critters voted to start the program, create the program, fund the program and keep the program going. They reauthorized the program in 2009, Patriot Act section 215. Now, you are claiming that a president, enjoined by national security and secrecy constraints, can somehow unilaterally stop a program that’s been going for ten years before he took office. AND DO NOT PRETEND THIS WAS UNKNOWN BEFORE SNOWDEN! Wm. Binney testified before Congress and to the press repeatedly about this data mining. http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2012/03/ff_nsadatacenter/ You all, every one of you commenting about Obama, turned your faces to the wall and ignored the whole matter. Until you had a black POTUS. Suddenly, it was different. And it’s all his fault, not your poor congressman. Who just voted to reauthorize the program, and then broke for vacation.

    @old1953

    Well, he can unilaterally alter an existing law regarding affordable health care without an act of congress, so… wait… what were we talking about?

    @old1953

    OLD: Obama ran for Senator on a platform of being against the Patriot Act, and once a Senator voted to renew and expand it. He ran for President on a platform of being against the Patriot Act, and then once President signed Bills extending the Patriot Act not once, but twice.

    You would never let another President get away with this. Perhaps the only reason you give this particular President a pass is simply because he IS a black POTUS. Suddenly, it is different.
