LUANN is about the trials of becoming a young adult: the hilarity and drama, triumphs and flops, friendships and rivalries. Rich in character and intriguing "what'll happen next?!" stories, LUANN is a compelling saga of life's most volatile stage. Hey, I know what yo’all are thinking, but it could still work.

And could be a whole new direction for the strip, and for comic strips in general (aside from, say, Jane’s World.

I’m afraid her feminine charms are kind of like a nomad in the desert buying snow skis.

if Toni is right then she just has to explain the situation and the mail-person will understand the need to retrieve the letter, and the problem will be solved!!

@chireef
In what world would that happen. Postal workers have good jobs with GREAT BENEFITS AND RETIREMENT, they’re not about to give all that up to help a love sick teenager.

It’s just Luann’s luck, isn’t it?

Oh, and Luann, honey? You might want to ease up on the perfume. You’re supposed to wear it, not marinate in it!

Look on the bright side: maybe she’s bi.
Which, interestingly enough, is exactly what one of my friends said to me after an initially promising but ultimately disappointing chain of events at a bar a number of years back.

Not that this isn’t funny but it would have been better if the mailman was Dirk or even Gunther since some mail routes are reduced to part time these days.

ohhh…luann…a 16 year old should never look that……
absurd.

Whoa. Luann actually looked sexy in the middle panel. Greg – you ought draw her like that more often. Unless the mail carrier is lesbian, she is not gonna get her letter back, and hopefully she will think on Toni’s nutty theory and decide not to act on it.
Actually, I wish the cop from the day before yesterday was a female cop and wouldn’t be dissuaded by Toni…Toni would have been forced to abandon her stupid mission of retrieving the letter. But a female mail carrier just might throw a wrench in this crazy plot.

Homer was going to put a hose in the mailbox to soak a letter he didn’t want Mr. Burns to get.

In the last panel, Luann appears to have been drawn by Jim Davis.

She looks just like Tiffany.
