And where was this anger when during the eight years of the Bush administration there were eleven such attacks on U.S. embassies and consulates, with 52 deaths.
No reactionarie be I, nor am I a tea-head. But, there are unanswered questions and concerns regarding Benghazi… And, as usual, I suspect that the conservatives are lying.
Can any of the RWNJs who can’t seem to let an opportunity to make a mountain out of a mole hill to try and thwart progress in America in order to try and make the President look bad please explain how how Benghazi is different than the attacks during king george’s reign? I know that was then this is now, that was W and this is that uppity black man, I get it, you hate President Obama so much that you will do anything, regardless of how stupid it makes you look, to try and make him look bad and obstruct him at every turn in order to ensure this country fails and by association President Obama fail. But can you please have the decency to step out of your Faraday cage where nothing but right wing blather gets in and explain to us, in detail what you think went wrong and why, how it could have been prevented (pay attention to the realities of sovereignty when it comes to an embassy versus a consulate), who was supposed to provide security (pay attention too to how similar consulates are secured elsewhere and provide substantiation there too.) and tell us how the reaction could have been different. Please provide substantiation to your claims and pay attention to the realities of the resources available. Only when you have all the answers can you claim someone else could have or should have done something different. Here’s a head start on facts, no one was ordered to stand down, they were ordered to wait until sufficient equipment and assets were assembled. That’s like telling a pilot not to take off in his fighter until he has a full load of fuel on board. You righties would get half the facts from your propaganda masters and then believe and parrot “But he was told to abort his mission” That is how you righties twist things and get a bad name and lose all credibility. If you can provide substantiated factual details you will persuade some minds. I am confident I don’t know everything about this incident, but I am also confident that the republicans are simply using this tragedy as an excuse for their intransigence, obstruction and just plain childish behavior. But at least I am open minded about learning and I admit I don’t have all the facts. If all you can do is what you’ve been doing, trashing the president because your party feeds you that line, then you will forever wallow in the mud you rake and never be credible, contributory members of a civilized society. To this I challenge you republican parrots, step out of the shadows, do some research and actually work to change minds. They are out there (the facts and the minds, some of them open) are you of sufficient integrity and honor to defend your party’s position, or are you simply a partisan shill? I don’t expect any to truly take my challenge, as it would mean work, and it might mean finding out that the propaganda fed to you by your party and it’s mouthpieces is wrong but I have great confidence certain members will attack me or my challenge thereby demonstrating their incompetence, ignorance or simply lack of integrity.
Mix a snifter of Bill Mauldin, a dash of Jeff McNelly and a very large dollop of common sense, and you begin to get an idea of Lisa Benson’s considerable talent.
