During the misrule of the war criminals prep school cheerleader VietNam shirker Boy George and VietNam draft dodger Dick Cheney there were 8 attacks on US Consulates and Embassies, resulting in 31 deaths and sixty injured.
Where was the republican Javerts and their Star Chamber then?
I watched the senate hearing and found her answers to be reasonable. Specific points can be criticized, but overall, I felt she conducted herself well. The most important issue brought up during the questioning was the fact that 1.4 billion dollars of money already set aside has not been distributed to increase security at locations worldwide. She also claims there are 13 locations under high threat. Any police detective, especially if having to deal with high profile cases, can tell you the hazards of releasing too much info too soon. It can give suspects warning, provide fodder for defense attorneys, and, from my own viewing experience, never truly satisfies those demanding answers. Whether reporters seeking ratings, or politicians seeking talking points for the next election, it is sometimes best, as Ms. Clinton said during her meeting, to say nothing at all. As far as her emotional display goes… I sometimes get choked up watching a soldier come home to his children, or even a pet that has obviously missed him. I’m worse watching a parent grieving over a lost child and the funerals of soldiers, police, and firemen who died in the service of others. It is for them, and to honor their sacrifice, we owe one another the debt of respect and courtesy they would have likely given us. Respectfully, C. note- i’m a wuss when watching “honor moments” in movies too. In Air Force One, a pilot drops back and takes a missle meant for Harrison Ford’s aircraft…because I know there are men and women who will do such things, not just for a president, but for a loved one, a child, or even a stranger, it makes my chest tighten up every time I see it. I’m such a wuss. C
Lisa forgot the “…at this point” part. And Secretary Clinton is right, now, month after the fact, it does not make a difference anymore. Some people argue that there was a cover-up because of the election. Yeah, right, like the original 9/11 hurt GWB’s re-election! If the Obama administration would have had hard proof and evidence they would have beaten the war-drums, Mitt Romney being a Mormon and therefor softer on terror, the military and foreign policy (see third debate and the trap he maneuvered himself into). Who got Bin Laden? Obama got Osama! A terror attack makes him stronger because the people now know that he can deliver the culprits!

There simply is no motive for a cover-up. There was no cover-up. This is just the usual stupid Washington GOP smear-machine. They are shaking in their boots at the thought of “Hillary 2016”. They will try to run Colin Powell (my guess), they are always one “minority” behind. And in 2024 the Dems will run a LGBT person or Latino. Well, maybe the GOP runs Rubio or Jindal in 2016, that would be clever, but look at the 27 debates and primaries they had and that ended with the rich, old, white guy winning…
. Who got Bin Laden? Obama got Osama! A terror attack makes him stronger because the people now know that he can deliver the culprits! Is that why they where chanting “Obama we are Osama”? at the “spontaneous” coordinated waves of attack? and why they where flying the flag of Al Qu Da? over our places? Face it Obama’s a failure when it comes to terrorism and the Middle East is more of a powered keg then it ever was over on W watch after 9/11. The difference is Obama and the lame stream media will not report it. If Obama had a R by his name this would not be the case. The lame stream would be making things up on a nightly basis just like they did to W.
I think Rand Paul figured he was going to get some good campaign footage for his already doomed 2016 run. He got beat down like the schoolyard sissy he is.

Clinton lied about having oral sex with an intern. You act like his lies sent thousands of us troops to their death in some massively expensive, poorly executed, and utterly unnecessary military campaign we were still trying to get out of 10 years latter.
Mix a snifter of Bill Mauldin, a dash of Jeff McNelly and a very large dollop of common sense, and you begin to get an idea of Lisa Benson’s considerable talent.
