    Send the Chinese goods back, buy American, if you must buy anything this Holidays. Buy local goods and food. Make your friends a fine meal.

    Keep those Chinese toys offshore. We don’t need their lead paint, tiny magnets, poisonous plastics and tiny parts for our kids to swallow. this Christmas.

    No, we are American supporters alcor3! You’re welcome to waste your money for over-seas products. Just don’t kid yourself that it helps this country much.

    In my ongoing quest to be objective and avoid getting into the written ass kicking that goes on, I dug up a bunch of web sites for those that want to buy American. Amazing what you can find when you take 5 minutes to search something like “buy American companies.”

    @HOWGOZIT

    Most TVs are now assembled in Mexico of foreign made components. But your point is still ignorant from the perspective of there being no American made alternative. Or is there? If so please do tell us, I’m sure many here would be delighted to be proven wrong by ZIT.

    Thank you, I will definitely be checking out those sites tonight when I get home.

    See, being helpful and considerate of others and contributing to the discussion is not toxic to republicans.

    I don’t buy American as much as possible. :-| Fortunately, that’s rather easy nowadays. I always try to buy Portuguese. Unfortunately, all they export is cork. So I tend to drink a lot of wine (yes, South African wine, none of the old world plonk). It is quite dispiriting buying everything Chinese, so I buy Austrian Stroh rum just to vary things a tad. If that’s in short supply, I hop over to the local pub and down a few pints of Ruddles County bitter. Always buy local,I say.

    Zenith was the last TV manufactured in the USA many years ago.

    I still use my grandmother’s solid state RCA CRT console TV. Made in the USA and works as good as the day she bought it. The little bit of TV I watch, I can’t justify buying a new TV until it dies.

    Aahh, if you have enough of those nice Portuguese corks collected, I can send you instructions on how to make very useful heat pads out of them.

    The trick, the coup to pull, would be if we could convince Chinese unions to be formed. That will put a (portuguese) cork in their world domination plans.
    I know so.

    (Hey, Ruff! Did you see that? I found another use for cork!)
