Marines, Beirut, commanders and State said don’t house them there, that was “Savior Reagan”. Now, we have Issa holding hearings to reveal secrets, and totally blow “security”, world-wide. Okay, take a close look at morons, and think Issa him.

Reminds me more of Clinton getting our troops killed in Somalia.

Libya-gate is about to go mainstream, not even the usual suspects in the media are willing to go out on a limb to help with this cover-up.

There was a request for 300million to upgrade security at consulates and embassies worldwide. It was part of a bill the Republicans threatened to filibuster so it didn’t get passed. The deaths in Benghazi were a result of a criminal lack of bipartisanship in the committees responsible for pushing that bill through, even if it had to go without riders or earmarks attached. There are STILL understaffed and underdefended posts waiting for money that won’t even be discussed until this election is over. And dtroutma’s example is much more apropo than ConserveGov. That white van drove through a guard gate and was able to get close enough to that poorly built building to detonate and cause each floor to collapse on the one beneath. Reagan didn’t choose that building, he trusted the officers in the field to do what the mission required. Obama did the same thing in Libya. A president has to delegate responsibilities to people trained to the tasks, and the legislature has to make sure there is funding for the missions. If there was a failure of leadership in the oval office, there was also a failure of support under the capital dome.
Respectfully,
C.

I fear that those who hate Obama will use this incident to attack him no matter what the truth is. Their interest in opposing Obama is greater than their interest in the security of foreign service personnel.

Fact: It was actually the House Republicans who voted “No” to increase security at the Libyan Embassy.
“Chaffetz admits that there was a vote for additional security in Libya where he and his fellow Republicans voted no, then tries to blame it on the U.S. Senate because they never got around to voting on additional security, so his vote against more security doesn’t really count, he says.”

I think Bill was advising Hillary on security in Lybia. They did the same dumb stuff in Somalia. They did not want anyone thinking that Obamas policy in Lybia was not working, after all we helped them get rid of Kadafi. Now the Clinton like cover-up.

The commanders in Somalia asked for armored vehicles for their troops. Congress said, “NO! They were not needed for a humanitarian mission.” Then they ordered the troops be withdrawn.

Scott, Reagan did not select the particular building however it was his policies that led to it. He did order that they be quartered on land. We were supposed to be scting as peacemakers, yet Marine snipers were killing Palestinians every day. The news even showed troops bragging about their long distance kills and showing some on TV.

Obama’s at fault. There is no doubt as to what the truth is. His administration made the decision not to increase the security, as the ambassador requested. He’s more concerned with his reelection than anything else right now. Las Vegas money was obviously more important than looking at the facts. Making nice to Muslim countries is more important than protecting our own people.

You will need a long vacation after the election. You’ve lost all powers of logic and reason and you now sound just like Joe Biden, noisy, offensive and don’t make sense…

I may be wrong, but I’m not lying. The facts I’ve read support my comment. The tone you set for this discussion is neither respectful or dialectic Your words, in so many of these gocomics comment pages, are arrogant combative and more often than not, WRONG. Don’t call me a liar, show me your facts and I’ll change my mind. A fanatic can’t change their mind, and won’t change the subject. Your posts indicate that you are a legend in your own mind and will not be confused by something as useless and petty as truth if it stands in the way of what you want.
Disrespectfully,
C.

Obama wanted Libyan security personnel to replace American military for a better “image” in Libya. Some of those people assisted the Al Qaeda in the embassy attack.
