    Demerara sugar? Golden Syrup? Porridge oats? I’ve never seen these in the store.
    This comic must be from the U.K.

    or try a bit of mushed up banana with it! Add it with the oats for extra chew! The above is a basic flat jack recipe…there are many variations!:)

    From what I’ve looked up, Demerara sugar (from the UK) is like Turbinado sugar, or even like Trader Joes natural brown sugar. Golden syrup is in the grocery store in the baking section. It is cane sugar syrup. Porridge oats are quick-cooking oatmeal.

    That sounds very good. Maybe with a bit of chopped walnuts as well. I have 3 giant boxes of oats in the pantry. I’m going to try these. :)
