    In basic civics, we learned that the President’s party usually loses in the mid-terms. Many Congresscritters got in on the President’s coattails, and there ain’t no coattails in the mid-terms.

    Obama’s coattails didn’t carry any voters in ‘10, and most voted for a Republican House. In ’12, Obama’s coattails carried a majority of voters for the House, but our faithful Gerrymander nibbled on those coattail voters and gave the House to the Republicans.

    Rasmussen says Obama’s rating is up to 51%, and Dems are leading in the generic Congressional poll.

    So Republican hopes for the coming election would seem to be leaning heavily on our faithful Gerrymander.

    Obama is still much, much more popular than congress. I confidently predict that more Democrats will want campaign support from Obama than Republicans will want help from Boehner, or McConnell, or Cruz, or Christie; none of whom have accomplished a tiny fraction of what Obama has done to improve America.
