“Politics are now nothing more than a means of rising in the world.” (Samuel Johnson, 1775; "The Oxford Dictionary of Quotations, Third Edition)… ;)

There’s already laws requiring equal pay for women (look it up), but we certainly don’t need a gigantic 2 TRILLION Dollar government takeover of health insurance!

Well, then it’s a darn good thing the government didn’t actually take over the health insurance industry.

    “…government takeover of health insurance!”

The PPACA requires insurance be obtained from an insurance company and that that insurance meet the requirements of the PPACA. The government is not providing the insurance, therefore, cannot be taking over the insurance industry.

Excellent question: Why do we not enforce laws currently on the books?

It reminds me of the law that Va. Beach put into effect banning eating and drinking on the beach. Why? People were leaving their garbage on the beach. We had a law already prohibiting litter on the beach, but we banned eating and drinking.

(Didn’t work: little Johnny wants a $7 hamburger, eats 3 bites, wants to go back to the beach. An hour later, Johnny is hungry again. Parents went ballistic with unnecessary costs. And now we have a beach covered with litter unless machines clean it. Still no enforcement of litter laws.)

We have laws against running red lights, and that seems to be becoming the national sport. No enforcement equals no law.

“pays his females staff 12% less”
The actual question you are after is why 12% of the more menial tasks go to women?
    Are they more desperate?

Still well below The ‘Projected’ Number who would sign up
So a not-so-rhetorical question is: “Why do conservatives wish for failure?”, except… it’s actually true. Out of hatred of this president, conservatives prefer the continuation of the execrable status quo: unobtainable health insurance, skyrocketing rates, and bankruptcies.
