Sshhhh, don’t tell the righties, but the toon calls it right. Let’s hope they get the “paperwork phase” straightened out, because the states that are cooperating are making pretty good progress. The REAL problems are 1. didn’t get single payer, and 2. CONTRACTING, that’s basically taken over since Reagan, is just another fine mess you got us into, Ronnie.

Yeah,I know, some other fixes need to be made as well, but the first fix needs to be getting all the TEA out of the Congressional pot next November. Rational Republicans are welcome, but please, leave the kids home in day care, where they belong.

    44,000?? Says who?
Why not just say 4 million if you’re gonna make up numbers.
I didn’t have health insurance for 20 years, yet hear I am.
People have the right (or used to) to choose if they wanted to spend money on health insurance or not.
I thought you were pro-choice for people to do what they want with their bodies Jim?

I’m not dead so nobody else is? Interesting logic. The American Journal of Public Health publishes the numbers, if your ideology admits numbers. I mean this isn’t the Glen Gold Rush Standard Fox ’News."

The Obamabots keep trying to sell the ACA to the Tea types by saying, ‘Now, every hospital must, by law, provide totally free care to everyone without insurance, and everyone with a job has to pay all those medical bills. But the ACA will force all those deadbeats to pay for their own healthcare via their ACA insurance premiums, so the rest of us won’t have to. (This isn’t working. Since the bill has Obama’s name on it, every decent, self-respecting Tea type has to hate it. If a bill said Obama approves of Pie, they’d switch to eating no sweet baked products except Cake.)

I suggest someone with a low-paying job who can’t find affordable insurance try to find that ‘free’ hospital care. Unless they’re cute. I had a professionally deadbeat friend who was having a heart attack. The ER said, ’It’s just indigestion. Go home. That will be $500.’ Of course, he had no intention of paying the $500. Nor could they have collected from his corpse. But he was cute, a senior female physician (who knew him) saw him, ordered an EKG, and he got a quadruple bypass for free. I, like the 44,000 listed in Mr Morin’s drawing, would have been sent home to die, because I am NOT cute. And, for those who want a reference for the 44,000, it’s from Harvard. (Of course, that MUST be the Obamabot Harvard College in Chicago.)

    “I didn’t have health insurance for 20 years, yet hear(sic) I am.”
I’ve had homeowners insurance for more than 20 years and have yet to use it, that’s how insurance works.

More people die from bad medical care than guns, but that’s beside the point.

Yes, and it is going to get worse. My long time GP just retired early . Said he doesn’t want anything to do with O.
Now I am left trying to find one who will take medicare.

oh please, Obama told us this fantastic LIE! For one you can not link up those numbers for the lack of something. For another what does that have to do with 85% who liked it and could keep it? Does 15% add up to your mythical crying number? cus Obama went and blew up the 85% that he said liked what they had! now MILLIONS do not have what they once had! So by your logic and numbers Obama is responsible for millions of deaths a year by no insurance and a way to pay for the health care!

The poor already qualify for Medicaid or they can go to public clinics.

You’re joking, right? Not all communities have a public clinic, and those that do will likely find their public clinic can only handle basic care.

For a year, a friend’s doctor missed the fact that she had pneumonia. When it was discovered, she was driven to a hospital 45 minutes away where she stayed for over two months. Her public assistance insurance had a very low cap on it. She was eventually forced to declare bankruptcy due to the massive medical bill she was stuck with.

A public clinic isn’t able to help a case like hers.

    .
Really? Then why do we need anything else, for anyone else? Let’s close down all but the clinics you noted and every one go there. You may also be in favor of the republican plan; don’t get sick, and if you do, die quickly.

If liberal Democrats can make up numbers, so can I. The latest statistic: 882,000 is the number of deaths from people stressing out over how to pay for the unafordable Obamacare.

Same would have happened with The ACA ass the only policy she could afford to pay premiums has high co-pays and high deductibles which would have still caused her to file bankruptcy as she would not have been able to afford the $4,000.00 to $15,000.00 deductible she must pay before her insurance would pay one cent of her medical bills.

The ACA is not affordable for The Middle Class and Poor.

I do not believe one word you say. You are not telling the full truth. You are not telling us The Doctor wanted her to have a Chest X-Ray which she refused because she did not want to be X-Rayed.

20 years ago I was sitting on my futon at home. It was about 21:00 when I could only draw shallow breaths. I drove myself to the Local ER and told them I could barely breath. The ER Attending listened to my chest, and ordered an X-Ray and blood test. and sent me back to waiting room. She came back and told me I had pneumonia and the only reason she was not admitting me to Hospital was because my blood was getting plenty of oxygen. She scripted Augmentin and sent me home

Here in USA, NBC News is reporting The Young Healthy folks are not and will not sign up for Health Insurance via The Government Exchanges. Without these young people and many in Middle Class who will pay the Penalty rather than signup for Insurance Via Government Exchanges, The ACA will collapse on it’s own when there are not enough people paying into the system to support it.

The Healthy will not sign up Because they see themselves as bulletproof. Many Middle Class will not sign up because the premiums are 1/2 of their income with subsidies.

Obama is lying. The ACA is not affordable for everyone.
