Jen Sorensen has been doing a weekly editorial comic since 1998. Since its start, she has won numerous awards (including seven from the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies) and was a finalist for the Herblock Prize in 2012. In 2013, Sorensen won the prestigious Reuben Award in the Editorial Cartoon division. Her work has appeared in the Village Voice, L.A. Times, Daily Kos, MAD Magazine, Nickelodeon Magazine and many, many more. Her art is vibrant and precise, and her commentary is razor sharp. Populated by recurring characters and a caustic wit, this is not a comic for the fainthearted.

Sheesh!!!! Don’t they teach alphabetization anymore?
(Hint) Jen Sorensen’s cartoon would go between ‘Small World’ and Jeff Stahler’s cartoon.

Curious, why does it have to be alphabetical?

Scary thing is that there is an article on Yahoo forecasting food trends, and it is saying one of the hottest food trends for 2013 will be Kim-Chee, A.K.A. Fermented CABBAGE!

Ahh, a political cartoon without the evil politics, a nice touch in these acrimonious times.
.
My daughter made Kim Chee in cooking class last week.
Not nearly as tasty fresh, needs to go bad to be good.

Ahh Kim Chee, great taste, and a smell that puts Limberger Cheese to shame too!

“Sheesh!!!! Don’t they teach alphabetization anymore?”
For ages, Ted Rall was sorted as “T” rather than “R.” I figure eventually they’ll get it right.
“Curious, why does it have to be alphabetical?”
As the present case indicates, it clearly doesn’t HAVE to be, but it’s as good a way to sort them as any, I suppose. It helps you find what you’re looking for. Got any better ideas?

WHAT?!? I vehemently DENY that Zachary Taylor was cooler than I think! Totally L7. “Old Rough-and-Ready?” HAH! Ready for WHAT, that’s what I wanna know. The man was so unhip, when he rode into town people would shout “Old Whitey”, and he thought they were talking about his horse. The man died from eating tainted cherries. That’s all I’m gonna say.

Instead of traditional weddings, we will all use Go To Meeting to attend.

Actually, what would be most useful FOR ME would be to have them sort by most recent update. I don’t check all the editorials every day, and even when I do the “dots” aren’t always helpful (since editoons are often posted late in the day, and by the next morning they aren’t dotted anymore). If they did it that way, I could navigate through them one by one until I came to something I’d seen before…
Sure, it means the order would change every day, but it would probably only involve the writing of a few lines of code…
