Mitch McConnell says the treaty failed because of Obama’s lack of leadership.

Shame on the cowardly GOP imbeciles in the Senate. Here they are:

O has had 4 years to fix it. There still being a problem just proves O has done nothing.

We already have G.H.W. Budsh’s Americans with Disabilities Act. We don’t need no stinking UN.

Yes, once again America “leads by example.”
Thanks, GOP, for once again being the “Party of NO.”
On International Issues you are an embarrassment; as compared to your Domestic Policy, where you are a disgrace.

A leftist liberal like yourself will happily claim that you own the airwaves, the entertainment media, the labor movement, and the educational institutions but when it comese to blame someone it is always the evilevil Republicans or Israel. Hypocrisy.

You need to change your screen name. Only Republicans voted against the treaty, originally negotiated by W and based on our own ADA. They even ignored an appeal from their 1996 presidential candidate, Bob Dole and used the flimsiest paranoid excuses to vote against it.

Liberal hypocrisy has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Under Jim Morin’s cartoon, you claimed " I am against giving law in America to the UN. That would be the beginning of the end of our freedoms".
Now you say this is somehow Obama’s fault. Craig Linder says succinctly what I said under your Morin post.
Your rabid and often unfounded attacks on any position that doesn’t exactly conform to your ideals is painful to see and causes me to wonder what paradigm created the person you seem to be. Nature, or nurture?
    Sadly,

“O has had 4 years to fix it.” Fix WHAT? The treaty was founded on our OWN Americans With Disabilities Act (one of Bob Dole’s few enduring accomplishments). There is NO enforcement mechanism (in fact that is forbidden). Maybe you ought to try learning about it before writing nonsense.

That Koch/Birch Society faction of the GOP still has cold war paranoia about the UN.

Well the last time we turned our back on the rest of the world a major war broke out. The US is beginning to resemble the Roman Empire.

Beginning to resemble to Roman Empire.
    .
Not yet, the Holy Roman Empire (note the “Holy”) impersonation is being sought.
    by the religious vote.
    .
Luckily the bible belt is not wide enough to destroy America as the Roman Empire diminished itself.
    .
    Not yet.

It’s a terrible law because it will force Americans to do things against their will. And it’s even worse because it has no enforcement mechanisms.
