To be honest Cutter or Qutar or how you want spell it, pronounced Cutter when I was there does not have a lot of oil but that tiny nation has more Natural Gas then most nations on earth. What bothers me is that Al Jazeera will give a birthday party to a Child Killer and an Ex-Vice President to the United States is in bed with them. .
WTF? I still don’t understand what selling his stake in a TV-station has to do ANYTHING with his stance on AGW. It’s like Rand Paul, saying that business owners have the right to not serve African-Americans. Do you want anybody to sign a form affirming they were never a communist before you sell them bread? And you call yourselves “free market capitalists”?
It’s because for years Al Gore has been preaching his Green Gospel of “oil is evil” – and then he sold his TV network to a middle eastern country whose money comes from oil, and more oil, and still more oil. Al is, in short, a big fat hypocrite. He apparently doesn’t have a problem with oil, as long as it turns into greenbacks for him.
Uhh, warning guys, Gocomics has changed some code. I just realized that question-marks now also trigger font-changes. I think three QM are modified into one QM and “switch to italics”. Don’t know if it was intentional, but better refrain from using lots of QMs to show your surprise. Hope I remember it myself :-)

I fail to see the inflammatory issue. Why not allow dudes to get out of bad businesses? That’s what the USA did with the Mafia and Las Vegas, wasn’t it? I am not stirring, I am suggesting that if their economy can start to run on non-oil revenues, then we’re all better off, aren’t we? BTW, I do get the irony and think that it is a funny gag.

I truly see not the logic behind the argument, that any corporation that profits off of oil should not have other corporate assets sold to it.
As I am assuming you are not communist or a fascist you will understand that all companies must make a profit
Hence would it not make sense to sell not oil related assets to companies so they can do a little thing that in business speak is called " Diversify"
