When you’re a kid, Christmas can’t come fast enough.
When you’re an adult, it can’t leave fast enough.

Saturday (as in the day before yesterday), I helped bring down Christmas decorations at the parents’ house.

Thanksgiving is so late this year that retailers couldn’t afford to wait until it was over. And they don’t want to lose sales to other stores that bring their stuff out early.

The idiot stores in our area started putting Christmas stuff up the week BEFORE Halloween!

When I was a kid, we didn’t even think about Christmas until after Thanksgiving. When we saw local stores putting up Christmas decorations before Halloween, we thought they were coo-coo.

To this day, I still think they are.

See this for an idea to relocate Thanksgiving. Great Idea!

You can’t commercialize Thanksgiving. Besides, isn’t Thanksgiving supposed to be a harvest feast? What is it doing so late in the fall?

Thanksgiving always falls on the 4th Thursday of November, so how can it be late this year?

Could have done this strip in October and have it say “Happy Halloween”. It’s so depressing. Where’s the joy and fun and excitement in something you have year-round.

Does Thanksgiving start the Christmas holiday season?

I have just started my pecan harvest. Being an odd number year, there isn’t much. Last year one tree filled seven grocery bags, and harvest was September to March. This year, I have the bottom of one bag covered, Pecans alternate years, boom and bust.

The fourth Thursday can be as early as November 22nd and as late as November 28th, as it is this year. It’s as late in the month as is possible.
