Hey they didn’t have to hit the Senators, they open the fence with no prodding. God bless Republicans.

We are in the ultimate end-game of Neo-Fascism.The idea is not complicated and it is not new.If you are the minority Party, the Party of the few who are rich as opposed to the many who are poor, you must use weapons that are unconventional. One of those weapons is obstruction of government. You make wild and false claims and then use techniques to prevent anything that could happen to prove you wrong. You claim that there is no budget and then you vote against any sensible measures that would create a budget. You claim that there are no jobs and then vote down every jobs bill. Etc etc.

During every other government shutdown open air war memorials remained open to the public. But since this administration has to play politics at every chance they spent more money closing it down than if they had just left it open. I wonder if the caligraphers and the dog handlers at the White House are concidered “essential employees” Just like with the sequester, congressional republicans have introduced bills that attempt to reduce or eliminate various parts of the negative impact to the general public from this shutdown, while the president and congressional democratics refuse to compromise and rely on a compliant media to avoid being called on for their stupidity.

Amen brother, Obama also ordered the Military Academies to stop all football games. The trouble is all three Academies use private donations to run the three programs.

“Obama has discretionary funds, which could be used to open the memorials.

The GOP offered a bill that would have released funds to keep the memorials open. Obama and Reid said no.

    Your hero is wrong".

I don’t know about the memorials, I do know as the Executive he has a lot of leeway on how all funds are spent after congress passes spending bills.

Defaulting on the incurred international debt is not going to be allowed.
No way of even imagining what will happen, but defaulting on America’s debts to other nations is not going to happen.
Doubletalk will be totally and completely ignored when world economies are on the line.
The jokes will be laughed at and reality will take the reins.

No wonder the Republicans in the House are so fantastical. They just reflect their party as proved by some of the comments here.

Nice try. Too bad it was the president who first started making the changes. One of the house bills would have kept the government running, the only 2 compromises in it would have been to make the ACA apply to congress and to give individuals the same one year exemption Obama has ALREADY given to businesses. I’ve said this before. I can no longer believe any current congressional democrat and this president when they say they support the “little guy” against big business. Comming from them, it’s just a bunch of B.S. to get votes.
