Titanic would have survived if it has not swerved!

“No, let’s rearrange them to say ‘Stick it to the poor.’ "
Where’s your plan, Boehner? Afraid to put details in it, because it plunges America back in recession, puts all of the costs on the poor, and vastly increases our debt?

Is there some reason I keep seeing toons of these two, and only Boehner is smoking, even though they both do smoke? I know it’s a small thing, and there are plenty of excuses that almost sound rational, but look at it this way: even in the small things, the left’s bias shows through, and needs to be pointed out.

If I recall correctly (well, no, I looked it up), the passengers most screwed on the Titanic were the steerage class.

Maybe it’s a reference to the money he accepts from big tobacco.

Yes, stick it to the poor hasn’t changed very much.

Probably for the same reason the president only makes vague reference to spending cuts. It’s their “negotiating” style, as stupid as it is. They both should sit face to face and hash this out until it’s done. 48% of the American people aren’t rich conservatives but they did vote republican.Mhic Dhu Ghaill

The President has negotiated. He has modified his stand on who gets a tax increase.
Boehner just says that if he can’t get the President to agree with HIS position, he has a Plan B. That’s not negotiating.

I feel the need to point out to you that political bias is the norm for political cartoons. You can even go to the GoComics political cartoon section and choose the artists by ‘left’ or ‘right’. I also should point out that the right’s bias is hardly hidden.

Obama has offered cuts, modifications from original proposals, and come repeatedly out willing to negotiate. Boehner, Cantor, McConnell and the Republicans have all been holding their breath until they turn blue, banging their sippy cups on the trays of their high chairs, and refusing to cooperate. Throw them overboard!

Varvel must be a rich cartoonist, and I always thought rich cartoonist was an oxymoron.
