Biden did a LOT better than Lyin’ Ryan. Have you seen how the analysis of Ryan/Romney’s “six studies” that support their impossible budget math is going? Not well. Not one of those six studies actually supports their math, even the two from the American Enterprise Institute!

Another funny ’toon. (I wonder if the candidates really are that nervous when they first get up there)

“@ScottPM You are already on my ignore list.”

A plonk doesn’t count if you tell the plonkee. Responding is not ignoring.

The sad part is, it isn’t really about issues, it isn’t about real, actual competence, and the last couple of debates have proved that, where utter lies are considered “good debate.” It’s all about salesmanship, and who is slickest for the cameras.

Sad yes. The worst part is, both parties and their candidates set up the “dabates” so that they can do just what you described. It’s distressing to know that the only way our two major political parties can cooperate is to put on a show to avoid substance.

Point out the “lies” please? Otherwise shut up so you won’t be lying every time you post.

Several subjects both sides will continue to ignore. The growing poor, the effects of Global Greenhouse Effect is costing us now and will do so more so in the near future.

If you debate the truth and the other side says you are a liar …… after the debate … after you had your Buttt handed to you….. it is about your competence to make your case.

If you have to interrupt 82 times and make faces when the other guy is talking and have the moderator interrupt 4 to 1 for you then it is not about your case but how many times you can try to make your case. The other guy just won because you over played what you had which was not much to begin with.
So what I am saying showmanship counts when you can not make a credible case.

It’s time to stop holding “beauty contests”, and in fact “campaigning” strategy, and look to see if they can define a MANAGEMENT POLICY. Mitt and Ryan have not, just idiot platitudes.

Speaking of “W”, if an arsonist burns down your business, and sets fire to your home, don’t blame the fireman who has been limited to a garden hose, instead of a fire hose, by those who see their only job in Congress is seeing to it you can’t put the fire out. They want to blame the fireman for what the arsonist did!

    -
They cooperate just fine in raising their own salaries and benefits and perqs.
    -
Also, in continuing to allow insider trading and suborning corruption.
    -
Also, in creating and maintaing safe districts and other ways to increase incumbancy.
    -
Allowing free passage between legislators and staff and industries they legislate about — not to mention lobbying firms. See Jack Abramoff.
    -
Not to mention virtually unlimited bribes in the form of campaign contributions, luxury trips, etc. All campaign contributions can legally be converted to personal income if reported as such.
    -
I believe the record for the fastest enactment of legislation was to eliminate TV blackouts of NFL home games when congressmen COULDN’T get tickets.

Only two hours and 15 minutes to go and I’m confident I… rooooz… snooore… rooooz… Hmmm? What happened? Did I miss something? And why is everybody dressed in brown shirts all of a sudden?

Easy to answer. The poor are growing because goverment is stiffling job creation. Working for their buddies in big business.
As to “greenhouse effect” ZERO. The last 16 years have been colder then the prior 16 years which is the oposite of what the models predicted.
I would worry about the devloping world repeating some our enviormental mistakes in they rush to better living standards. But we are optomistic
