seems to me that if business owners were taxed on personal income, they’d invest more in the business which would mean more jobs

A lot of small business owners already are invested deep in their companies.

Any tax hikes on the rich must be done in such a fashion that these guys aren’t hammered as well.

“Lower taxes on the rich and they’ll create more jobs!”
Where? Most likely China, Bangladesh, Taiwan… anywhere but here. Why? Because we have the temerity to demand that they pay us a living wage, not pollute our rivers and soil, treat us like human beings. They’d be glad to employ us if only we’d admit that we’re worth no more than the Chinese wage-slave making $2 a day for 18 hours of grueling work.

Most right wing economists you mean. It was the likes of Hoover and “trickle down” that brought us the Great Depression. That scam happened again in 1980 and gave us some more depression and ended us as a creditor nation. Now yet again that same old Black Magic is thrown in our face when we know it only fattens the already fat rich.

I recommend economist Catherine Austin Fitts

With QE3, we are essentially being bought out with our own money…and unemployment is being used to facilitate this process in a very clever manner. Monetary inflation is currently being offset by labor deflation. The way you avoid collapse is by printing money and stealing assets. The way you avoid inflation is with labor deflation.

Didn’t the Tea Party say that they were going to focus on jobs when they got elected to the House?
So why didn’t they do anything but try to overturn the PPACA?

Notice how the lefties always talk about raising taxes, to hand over money to lazy drug parasites who think they have a right to be handed everything for nothing? Yet they don’t have a problem with the trillions of dollars their nanny state bureaucracy has wasted- money taken from hard workers then just thrown away through corruption, inefficiency and leftist political boondoggles.

may i ask where you heard this, i’ve mostly heard compliments as to FDR’s policies and both their posetive short and long term impacts. Now we all know that Rush Limbaug is the unabashed defender of truth against the demonic liberal horde but prehaps you could give me numbers or a major economic instituion, quoteing people whom claim to have a degree in economics is a relatively poor idea

your right its class warfare to ask the rich not to use offshoring and pay less than somebody making a fraction off of their income.

It is criminal and diabolical that of the 2> million dollars you get to take home while most of the country and the country itself falls into debt that the 2 million dollars should even have 5% deducted, you may not have a plan for it or a use for it and it will either go stagnent as a reserve or go into a bank for the banks gain but damnit it it still your property.

Ruff: you said it 100% correct in addressing Brandon’s total lack of touch with “reality”.

Wow you sound just like a Nazi, or a Randroid, they speak the same language and want the same outcome. Both care not who dies who can’t survive in the country they would make.

    -
Be careful when you talk about “small” businesses. Small businesses, as defined by the tax code, refers to the number of owners, not revenue, not number of employees and anything else related to size.
    -
These “small” businesses include hedge funds, doctors partnerships, Koch Industries, Bechtel, and Bain Capital.
    -
When you hear John Boehner bluster about protecting small businesses, these are the ones he is talking about.
